Although it will probably end up going the way my Blogger site did, and end up being hosted on my own domain as soon as Fantastico make an appropriate self-hosted replacement script available as a default on their suite, like they did with Wordpress …

dont do it! there is no real reason for having one (other than laziness on the part of those who do to communicate better)
