Until this morning, the last time I had a “champagne” breakfast was on my last day of school November 1990. The difference between 1990 and 2007 was that I didn’t drink the champagne this time, and there was actually food at the breakfast. There were 2 people at work who were having their birthday today, instead of a cake (which is what everyone gets normally at about 3pm), they wanted smoked salmon with cream cheese bagels and sparkling wine at 8:45am. Thank you.
Today I went to see The Frick Collection 1 East 70th Street New York, NY 10021. Ok I didn’t actually go to NYC, I saw it online. It’s very comprehensive and very detailed with your good ol virtual tours etc. The Frick Collection includes some of the best-known paintings by the greatest European artists, major works of sculpture (among them one of the finest groups of small bronzes in the world), superb eighteenth-century French furniture and porcelains, Limoges enamels, Oriental rugs, and other works of remarkable quality. Go on take a trip to see some art 🙂
I went home sick early and was waiting at the bus stop at Circular Quay the other day. There was an ad or short film being shot at the fruit stall near AMP building. It was quite odd with a series of people walking around holding giant (like a metre long) packets of gum. I thought what a great job being an extra would be. Something different everyday, nice catering but sometimes odd hours. There was also this old chinese guy (not part of the shoot I assume) who seemed to be masticating McDonalds french fries and then giving it to the pigeons… eww, then he got on my bus!
