I’ve been tagged by Fortune Grey!
List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they’re not any good, but they must be songs you’re really enjoying now, shaping your Spring. Post these instructions in your blog along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they’re listening to.
As you know I’m really into music, but pretty bad at describing how it sounds, I’ll just put a few comments on why.
Sam Sparro – Too Many Questions – it was a free download on iTunes and it’s really catchy
Candi Staton – Young Hearts Run Free – I just acquired this and although it’s a “disco” track, it’s lyrics are deep
Mary J. Blige – A Dream – just really into Mary J. again after watching the doco Soul Deep: The Story of Black Popular Music Episode 6: “From Ghetto To Fabulous” – In a never-seen before interview, Mary J. Blige, the queen of hip-hop soul, speaks candidly about her journey from ghetto to fabulous.
Global Communication – 8 07 (Maiden Voyage) – It’s just an awesome ambient track. And even though I saw Mark Pritchard DJ the other night, I’m not going to go up to him and say dude, I listen to Global Communication nearly every day on my iPod!
Kylie Audist – Everybody Here Wants You – great, soulful cover of Jeff Buckley’s song.
MGMT – Electric Feel (Justice Remix) – Really love the orginal and this remix just makes it even better.
Ne-Yo – Closer – Madam sang this on Australian Idol and I didn’t know the track very well. Then I saw Ne-Yo sing it on Ellen and couldn’t get it out of my head.

Oh now I have to tag seven other people… (but how do they know I tagged them unless they dedicatedly read this blog entry??) I’ll get back to you later…
